Product Features
Classification:Metal Powders
Keywords: tantalum powder, tungsten powder
Product details
Spherical W-Mo alloy powder is an alloy powder composed of tungsten (W) and molybdenum (Mo) elements. It has the excellent properties of both metals and is widely used in high temperature and high strength fields.
1. Characteristics
- High temperature performance: W-Mo alloy powder combines the high melting point and strength of tungsten and molybdenum, and can maintain excellent stability in extremely high temperature environments. The melting point of tungsten is about 3422°C, and the melting point of molybdenum is 2623°C, so the strength and wear resistance of the alloy at high temperatures are very outstanding.
- Oxidation resistance: Molybdenum has good oxidation resistance and can effectively improve the oxidation resistance of the alloy, especially in high temperature and oxidizing environments, which can extend the service life.
- Corrosion resistance: W-Mo alloy powder shows strong corrosion resistance in strong corrosive environments, especially at high temperatures.
- Good mechanical properties: The alloy powder has high hardness, excellent tensile strength and good plasticity, and is suitable for use under high load and high strength conditions.
- Thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity: Tungsten and molybdenum have relatively good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, so the alloy powder is widely used in fields that require high thermal and electrical conductivity.
2. Application fields
- Aerospace: W-Mo alloy powder has important applications in the aerospace field, especially for engine components, jet propulsion systems and high-temperature structural materials in high-temperature environments.
- Nuclear energy industry: The alloy powder has good radiation resistance and high temperature resistance, so it is widely used in core components of nuclear reactors, fuel rods and other materials exposed to high radiation and high temperature environments.
- Electronic and electrical industry: W-Mo alloy powder is used to manufacture high-strength electrodes, electric heating elements, resistors, etc. Due to its good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, it is suitable for high-performance electronic equipment.
- High-temperature metallurgy and chemical industry: Alloy powder plays an important role in high-temperature metallurgical processes and is often used to manufacture high-temperature resistant furnaces, reactors and catalyst carriers, etc.
- Additive Manufacturing: Due to the spherical particle characteristics, W-Mo alloy powder is very suitable for additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology, which can produce high-strength and high-precision parts, especially in aerospace and high-temperature structures.
3. Preparation method
- RF plasma spheroidization
