Spherical SS310L stainless steel powder is a high-temperature alloy powder mainly composed of iron (Fe), chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), with excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. The alloy powder is prepared by powder metallurgy processes such as gas atomization. The particles are spherical, have good fluidity and compactness, and are suitable for additive manufacturing (3D printing) and metal injection molding (MIM). Spherical 310 stainless steel powder is widely used in the manufacture of components in high temperature environments, such as furnace components, heat exchangers and chemical equipment, especially for components working in extreme temperatures and corrosive media.
1. Features
- Excellent high temperature resistance: Due to the high content of chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), SS310L stainless steel has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance in high temperature environments, and can be used for a long time at temperatures up to 1100°C.
- Good corrosion resistance: Especially in corrosive environments containing chemicals such as sulfur and chlorine, SS310L stainless steel shows excellent corrosion resistance.
- Lower carbon content: The low carbon (L) version of SS310L stainless steel has better resistance to intergranular corrosion and welding performance than standard 310 stainless steel.
- Excellent mechanical properties: The alloy has good strength, ductility and oxidation resistance, and can maintain stable mechanical properties in high-temperature working environments.
2. Application areas
- High temperature equipment: Due to its high temperature resistance, SS310L stainless steel powder is often used to manufacture heat-resistant parts in high-temperature furnaces, heat exchangers, boiler components, combustion chambers and other high-temperature applications.
- Chemical industry: This alloy powder is widely used in petrochemical equipment, reactors, pipelines and containers, especially in high temperature and corrosive environments.
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing): Spherical SS310L stainless steel powder is suitable for metal 3D printing technology, especially in the rapid manufacturing of industrial parts that need to withstand high temperature or corrosive environments, and can produce parts with complex shapes.
- Aerospace: Used to manufacture aerospace parts that withstand high temperatures and stresses, such as engine components and heat exchange systems.
